After studying Fine Art in Cape Town, I moved to London where I continued to explore patination.  I fell in love with this process, with each finished piece being unique.

I specialise in this and other finishes on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals for sculpture and design. Patination is the chemical treatment of metal surfaces to create a variety of colours and effects. This is usually done through a heat process.

Choosing and applying the right patina is such a critical point in the long journey of creating an artwork, and it is crucial for me to work closely with the artist/designer.  It is this collaboration that helps me to learn and understand the client’s vision and to help them fulfil it and bring their dreams to fruition.

The options for patina are effectively limitless.  We normally get to the end result through discussions and sampling or just by working on the piece itself.

While the majority choose bronze, brass or other copper alloys, a number of beautiful finishes can be achieved on other ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

In addition, we undertake maintenance and restoration of existing works and surfaces of varying sizes, and have metal workers highly experienced in fabrication and chasing cast sculptures.
